Review || Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet & Collection Cream Puff Moisturising Lip Cream

Assalamualaikum

Hello there!

These couple of months seem to be my hectic busy life as a final year student. There are a lot of projects need to be submitted and a little time to complete it. So now, I'm back again! Before I go to the review part, I noticed that my skin is angry with me due to the stress, not enough sleep, lack of plain water intake, and unorganized eating time. It goes oily in certain place, extremely dry at the other. I am very sad just looking at my skin everyday. T_T .  I need to end this fast.

Anywhores, I recently purchased the new Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet and Collection Cream Puff Moisturising Lip Cream. Both lip cream have a matte finish.

1) Collection Cream Puff Moisturising Lip Cream - 1 Cotton Candy

This is my first matte lip cream. I saw this lip cream and swatch it. At first, I have doubt with matte lip cream. I have the thought that matte lip cream will apply unevenly on the lips and it will be patchy. But everytime I went to Watsons, I can't help myself to swatch this lip cream. And finally after gazillion times of swatching, I bought Cotton Candy. It is a very sweet pink lip colour. It is almost very pale that I felt I cant apply it alone without face makeup. I will look horrible.

The colour will fade in time but it still have some colour payoff on your lips even after drinking. Eating? nahh. Putting eating aside, the colour does stay for at least 5 hours. It does not transfers easily. As Collection claims that this lip cream is moisturising, I do not know about the moisturising power but I didn't feel any dryness on my lips. *plus pointsssss ^.^ *. I normally apply this lip cream if and only if I have minimum face make up on together with a prepped skin overnight. It is because my skin condition would be normal and I have no problem in applying foundation and powder without them clinging on the dry patches. Thus, my skin will look younger and only then this lip cream in Cotton Candy can appear at it's best.

2) Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet - 04 Peach Club

Moving on to the second matte lip cream. I genuinely heard of this lip cream on Bourjois Malaysia Instagram. I went all excited and bought it after a few days. Somehow, I have troubles in choosing the right shade. All the colours seem to be very vibrant and it makes my skin dark and solemn. I spend almost three-quarter of an hour just to choose the perfect lip shade. And finally, I bought the shade in number 04 - Peach Club. It is still quite vibrant but it is not as vibrant as the others.

I am very impressed with the colour stay. I can say that it doesn't transfer at all. *is that even possible?* but yeah, it does not transfer. I sip a cup of tea and I didn't find any lipstick stain on the cup. After eating, I noticed that there are some colours on my lips. From my experience with this lip cream, I can say that it gave: 1) lip colour, and 2) lip stain. It is good to know that I don't have to do touch up on my lips even after eating.
The down side of this lip cream is that I can't take everything off my lips even after I use cleansing oil. It is a tough job in getting rid of it. And I have to scrub my lips first before applying this lip cream. Other than that is A-okay!

All in all, I love both matte lip cream and I am looking forward to get my hands on Sleek's.

So, that's all for now. Thank you for reading.

Good luck!
