Review || Daiso Multi Cheek Blusher

Hello there!

Today I'm gonna talk about one of Daiso's cosmetics which is the Multi Cheek blusher. *I really have no idea why they called it Multi Cheek. Maybe because we have two cheeks on our face? I'm just being ridiculous*. At first, I felt scared to buy Daiso cosmetics as I'm afraid that it will damaged or cause allergy reaction to my skin. But thinking of the price and some of other review on Daiso make up products, I feel that it is okay to give it a go.

This Multi Cheek blush comes in two shade which is Beige and Pink. I got beige. But personally, I didn't see any difference between beige and pink. The texture of this blusher is a bit powdery and it does not swatch very well. I can barely see the colour on the skin. However, this blusher is buildable. I need to apply this on the cheek about three to four times before I can get the colour payoff.

As I always say, I never wear makeup more that 5 hours. But this time around, I wore it for more than 8 hours. The colour stays on my face and does not move at all. The best part is, it survives my nap time. My nap is not the normal 20 minutes nap. Mine normally up to 3 hours long. *Don't judge me*. I personally have sensitive skin yet this product does not irritate nor cause allergy. I'm in love with this and I started to use it daily since than. I totally recommend this to everyone!

That's all from me. Thank you for stopping by. Good luck <3

Review || Daiso Makeup Brush Cleaner

Assalamualaikum

Hello there!

I believed most of us are familiar with Daiso. I personally love to go to Daiso because they have everything there! And the price is affordable. It's just RM5.30 *including GST* per item. I seemed to be drawn to buy their stuff as they are cute, unique and attractive. Therefore, I've decided this month of October to be a Daiso month where I will be sharing reviews on some of the beauty and beauty related product that can be found in Daiso.

To start off, I will first introduce the Daiso Makeup Brush Cleaner. I believed this is relatively new to Daiso *at least in my local Daiso* but they had been sold out everytime they stock it up! The first time I saw it on my local Daiso store, they only have three bottles left. So I have that thought 'this must be a good item. I should get it before it went all sold out.' Thus, I grab two bottles.

This is a 150 ml liquid fluid product. The instruction at the back of the bottle indicates that this can be use by its own. Means that I do not have to add water as the consistency is already very watery. Not like the ordinary liquid detergent consistency where the viscosity is quite thick. The liquid do not have any colour. It is a clear liquid.

The liquid is originally clear. Once I dipped my makeup brush, the makeup dissolves. Thus the colour of the liquid changes.

What I like about this product:

- Easy to use. I normally pour it in a bowl, dampen the brushes with the cleanser, swirl the brush, rinse, and I'm good to go.
- This cleanser removes all traces of makeup. It does deep clean my makeup brushes even I haven't clean my brush for a month. *I know. I am lazy like that*
- It leave my makeup brushes conditioned. The bristle stay soft as it is brand new.

The disadvantages of this product:

- Since I have a fairly large amount of makeup brushes for a normal person to have for their own personal use, this only last me for only two washes. I feel that it is a waste as I have buy a lot if I were to use this as my main detergent for my brushes. I rather use baby shampoo to clean my makeup brushes.

Part of my brush collection. This amount of brushes is considered as one wash.

- I don't really fancy the scent of this cleanser. This might be because I personally love fruity smell on my brushes. *I use Carrie Junior baby shampoo previously*. This is my personal preferences. There are some other people who like the scent and have no problem with it. ^_^

That's all from me. Thank you for stopping by. Good luck <3

Review || Facework Cosmetics Brush Egg

Assalamualaikum

Hello there!

Being a beauty junkie, I, like anyone else face the phase that needed me to deep clean all my dirty makeup brushes. Previously I cleans the brushes by swirling it on the palm of my hand. But I don't really like to wet my hands for too long. Therefore, I search for option that can help me clean my brush without having my palm touching the water.

Now, I managed to bought a brush egg by Facework Cosmetics. A local brand that sells makeup brushes, blending sponges, and brush egg. They have several colour of brush egg to choose from and the price is unbelievably affordable. The brush egg cost me RM 15 per piece. This product uses silicon material which have an anti-bacterial function. *thumbs up*

What I like about Facework Cosmetics Brush Egg:-

* Great for cleaning eyes & lips brushes
* The dots helps refines the shape of the brushes
* Does not get stained by the shadow pigments
* Small in size
* Easy storage - I put it in my makeup drawer

The down side of this product

* The size is too small for me to clean my face brushes. Not enough room to swirl the brushes

Other than that, I really have no problem with it. Good quality product with an affordable prices. You can get your own brush egg from FACEWORK COSMETICS INSTAGRAM.

That's all from me. Thank you for stopping by. Good luck <3

Review || Essence Soo Glow! Highlighter

Assalamualaikum

Hello there!

Last week I only managed to blog one post due to tonnes of preparation for Hari Raya. Since I stay with my parents, it is my responsibility to help them in preparing for events. Therefore, I will post three reviews this week instead of two. Let's cut the intro and jump right to the review.

Today is all about Essence Soo Glow! Cream to Powder Highlighter. Keeping up with the strobing trend, I search for a cream highlighter that I personally think it is easier for me to apply. I am thankful that I managed to find an affordable drugstore option instead of high end. I was thinking to order Loreal cream highlighter from US because I am not aware that we have cream highlighter here.

This highlighter available at selected Watsons store for RM16.85. They have two shades which are:-

1)  Look on the Bright Side - 10
2)  Bright Up Your Life - 20

The first shade (10) is a white highlighter and the second shade (20) is a rosy pink highlighter. Since I have a medium tan skin complexion, I bought the shade 20. I feel that white highlighter suits person with a paler skin complexion.

Bright Up Your Life - 20

In terms of application, I use my finger to swirl the product and dab it on the highest part of my face. I also blend it using my finger. I will use clean finger for each side of my face because sometimes I find that the highlight will mix with my blusher if I use the same finger. Thus one side of my face will have different colour of highlight if that make sense.

Talking about lasting hour, this stays on my skin for at least 5 hours. As I mentioned on my previous post, I normally wear my makeup for the longest time of 5 hours as I have to perform my prayer. Therefore I have to completely removes my makeup. But still, 5 hours is a longggg time!

To wrap things up, enjoy a strobing-on-fleek picture of me *narcissist*. Please note that I applied the highlighter on my cheekbone, bridge of the nose, cupid bow, and on the chin.

That's all from me. Thank you for stopping by. Good Luck <3

Review || Pixy Gentle & Moist Cleansing Lotion Makeup Remover

Assalamualaikum

Hello there!

Finally

FINALLY!!!

I'm back.

I know. I know. My life is such a mess. I am getting my hands all crafty and currently learning sewing. Alhamdulillah, I graduated from UTM **phewww** and about to attend my convocation this October. Yeay for me! **clap**. Much apologize for not making  this blog a prior. I am now gonna blog twice a week and probably will be posting on weekends. I rediscover my planner and I realize how important it is in my life.

Enough with the long intro about my MIA. Lets go straight to the beauty review. As mentioned in the title, I'm gonna give you a review on PIXY Gentle & Moist Cleansing Lotion Makeup Remover.

Lets talk about the general information of this product and what its offer. Pixy Gentle & Moist Cleansing Lotion is a makeup remover. People may get confused because they do not state it on the packaging. This is a 100 ml water based makeup remover product. It promises 4 in 1 benefit which are:

1) Removing makeup
2) Removes dirt and oil
3) Freshen / tone the skin
4) No double cleansing needed

PIXY Gentle & Moist Cleansing Lotion is an alcohol-free product and it is infused with honey. Honey is used in this product because it is proven clinically that honey helps in restoring and locking moisture in the skin and keeping the skin soft and supple.

Now, heads on to the review. I use this product constantly for three month now. Makeup remover nowadays have the current trend of oil-free remover which they called it micellar water. Although PIXY does not state that their product is a micellar water, I can assume it is as it's a water-based product. I use this using cotton pad. A few drops of this product is sufficient to wet the cotton pad.

Let's see the testing of this product.

Swatches of pencil liner, waterproof liquid line, gel liner, matte lipstick, cream eyeshadow, concealer, and foundation for testing.

Two cotton pads needed to removes makeup thoroughly

Squeaky clean!

What I like about this product:

- Oil-free remover. I do not have to double cleans.
- Removes makeup excellently
- Slim packaging
- Cheap
- Moisten up the face
- Travel friendly *I have both pro and con about this*
      - I prefer to bring this along if I went for trip where I can comfortably resides in.
         Eg: balik kampung, holiday.

The hassle about this product:

- Need to bring cotton pad along when travelling
       - I do not like to bring this product if I am out and about. It is a hassle for me to bring cotton pad
along as I need to store them in different case. Eg: going for shopping, outing with friends
- Hardly removes waterproof mascara.

Since JB have a water issue, I use this a lot and I still have a quarter of product left. I already purchased backups. Yes! BACKUPS!! Totally recommend it to others. You can find PIXY Gentle & Moist Cleansing Lotion Makeup Remover at Watsons for RM13.90. Watsons normally have this on sale. I got mine for RM8.80. Just wait for the sale and save some ringgit!

That's all from me. Thank you for stopping by! Good Luck <3

Review || Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation and Healthy Balance Unifying Powder

Assalamualaikum

Hello there!

Bourjois makes their debut to Malaysia on June 2014. It is a famous and trusted brand in UK. I knew about this brand through Lisa Eldridge's YT channel. She loves the foundation so much. Thus, I bought my foundation based on her recommendation. I bought two of their face products which are Healthy Mix Serum Foundation and Healthy Balance Powder.

Healthy Mix Serum Foundation

I'm in love with this foundation. It is a little bit pricey-er than the original Healthy Mix Foundation. It cost me RM57.90 per bottle. You get a good size of 30 ml and it came with a pump. The bottle it a plus point to me as it do not take up much space. I can fit it into my mini drawer of makeup. It is light in weight so that it is easy for travel. I don't really like bringing glass bottle foundation for travel. It is heavy. Healthy Mix Serum Foundation have a gel-like consistency. It is easy to work with and the smell! Please. I'm a sucker at this. I love the smell so much!

It offers light - medium coverage and a semi-matte finish. It works best on prep-ed skin. Sometimes it does cling on my dry patches provided that my dry patches are horrid. It does stays on the skin for a good 8 hours. I personally never experience wearing makeup for more than 8 hours. This doesn't cause me breakout.

Healthy Balance Unifying Powder

In the search of a good long lasting mattifying powder, I take the risk to try this. This cost me RM 43.90. That is a lot for a powder. But, I feels it is worth to invest on this powder because I happened to not like the previous two powder by Maybelline and Catrice. Oh, I am ruining the review. As you girls can guess, I like this powder very much. It didn't give a lot of coverage. I like it because I do not search for any high coverage powder anyway.

The texture is very soft and the smells is just great! If you love Healthy Mix Foundation's scent, you will be liking this too. It doesn't come with any applicator. You have to have your own applicator. I like using brush as it only gives me low coverage and it helps mattify my skin. At the same time, it does not give me any flat matte look. I can still see the dewy finish that my foundation gives me.

In terms of lasting power, I do find it stays for quite a long time. I normally would keep my makeup for 8 hours max. I normally do not bother to touch up my powder. It do not stay matte like the first couple of hours but it does help keep my skin healthy.

Overall, I totally highly recommend Bourjois Healthy Balance Unifying Powder and Healthy Mix Serum Foundation to everyone. It doesn't cause me breakout and it stays on the face for a nice 8 hours at least.

Thank you for stopping by! Good Luck <3

Review || Super Wow Stick - Maria from I Heart Makeup Makeup Revolution

Assalamualaikum

Hello there!

I should had mention that I am a lippy girl. I have a lot of lipsticks and there are some lipsticks that have the same colour but gives a different finishes. I love lipsticks sooo much and I really love bold colour lips. Recently, I purchased a lipstick called Super Wow Stick from I Heart Makeup which is a sister company of Makeup Revolution. I am interested in the shade Maria while I am watching a swatch video on YT.

Pardon me with the pixelated images. I do not wish to reveal the colour on my lips just yet.

This is what the box looks like.

The packaging is very slim for a lipstick. The size is slimmer than the normal lip jumbo / lip crayon sold in the market.

The size is just perfect for the lips. Since it is a dark colour, I can easily line the lips and fill it in using the same product. I don't need and lip liner to get the job done.

The colour swatch smooth on the hand but it is a bit drying on the lips. I suggest applying lip balm / olive oil before applying this lipstick. It have a matte finishes and the colour does not transfer. I personally like this colour but I am not brave enough to wear it on its own. I think this could help in making an ombre lips. It could be blend with either red, plum or even pink. I end this post with lip swatch of this colour for better view.

Thanks for reading!

Good luck
